Digg'n the new Mustang...
Well, it's been a couple weeks and I still don't miss the Corvette ('07 2LT 6.0 LS2 paddle-shift). My initial assessment of the Corvette being "sterile" still rings true to me. The Mustang ( 5.0, Brembo, 3.73) has that certain je ne sais quoi the Corvette simply doesn't have.

Interesting. I actually test drove an LS2 C6 last weekend. I was tempted to check them out because used they’re in the ball park of a new base model 5.0. But after driving one I was a little disappointed. I thought it felt like and old-man car; kind of like a really low and fast Buick. The paddle shifter setup was cool (it’ll hold a gear and not kick-down even under WOT) but that wasn’t enough to make me want to buy the car.
Plus I noticed while doing my homework on the Vette forums, some of the owners can be really arrogant ******. I’m 100% decided on a new 5.0 now.
