Design Flaw in Clutch Pedal Extender

I bought the clutch pedal extender from American Muscle last March.

In theory, the clutch pedal extender is a great concept and I was happy to get it. However after 2200 miles, the grooves that hold the pedal extender to the pedal are starting to wear out. Now it wobbles and slips up and down. Yes I installed it correctly and the screws are tight.

I called the customer service number and they refused to replace it. The person I talked to said it is a wear and tear item and said they don't know if anyone else drove the car and abused it. That's insulting. When I asked him to escalate my issue, he told me the next higher person would tell me the same thing. In thinking, I believe a replacement would develop the same problem because the plastic is a poor choice of material.

Might be dangerous if it outright fails.

There had better be a fix to the choice of material that its made of. The manufacturer should be made aware of this.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? AM please help me out.

Hey Kevin - Sorry to hear about the trouble again but I've already received and replied to your PM and we're going to get a replacement shot out once I'm able to confirm a couple pieces of information. I'm not entirely sure what had occurred over the phone but I'm going to review the phone call with the supervisor the call was going to be transferred to and we'll make this right for you. A part failing only after 2k miles and a few months of ownership isn't right at all!

Installed my clutch extender 40k miles ago and it's still rock solid. Perhaps you got a bad one.
