Deployed, good price for 2013 GT??
Hello everyone. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and am looking at the deals they have here on the new 2013 Ford Mustangs. They are running a promotion where I can upgrade to a GT Premium from GT for 1000.
I am trying to get some advice on whether or not I should take the deal that they are offering here.
The offer:
2013 Ford Mustang GT Premium ( 6 Spd Manual)
7 Year / 75,000 Mile Warranty
Black
Hood & Side Stripes (Silver)
GT Track Package
for 34,500 $
Any advice is appreciated. Will by my first Mustang and new car purchase in a long time.
Thank you.

The best deal you can get is from military sales. Keep in mind that you will have to pay the taxes when you pick up the car in the USA. When I got mine I had to pay 2400.00. If you are taking delivery outside of the US you are tax free until you register it in the US. When I got my '05 I took delivery outside the US and never paid taxes because I sold it and never brought it to the US.

Can't help much on buying thru the military, but it's hard to get info. on the '13's right now here at home. They are so close, but so far away the Wifey and I have decided to wait a few months before even trying to order. Good luck.

Looks like invoice pricing from what I can tell here. Hope this helps. Sounds like a good deal and bad a$$ car. Once again, thank you for your service to our country. Come home soon...

It is very difficult to beat the deal the nice Irish fellows at the ENCS offices can give you. I got my '12 in Baghdad and paid less than X-plan prices on it. Trust in them - they are not out to screw you. Also you get a neat yellow window sticker that nobody else gets!

Thank you everyone. I am not sure how much taxes will play in because I will be registering/delivering it in Alaska (Wont be there long). I look forward to this car and the fun times that the future brings.
hawkeye- Your encs agents were Irish? Mine are from England lol

If you aren't already a member with USAA, then I highly recommend you check them out. I use them for pretty much everything: banking, auto loans, insurance, etc., and their rates are impossible to beat in most cases (finance rates for home loans are their weakness). They have a sweet car building website that lets you put all the options on, select your local dealership, and print a NO HAGGLE certificate on your final price. Dealershps that participate in the program are required to honor this certificate. Obviously, you are in the military, and a participating dealership will be located right outside your base, if in the U.S. I recently helped a fellow soldier out and he paid 4,500 less for his '12 GT than he did for a similar '11 GT.
I ran a quote through for you on their website. They did not have the track pack as an available option, so just add the cost of that to the numbers below. They only had 2012 models availabe for now, but for comparison, here is what you would get:
MSRP:34,900 (only option selected was stripe kit) 2012 GT Premium 6MT
Invoice:32,808
Your no haggle price would be:
30,658
So......
compare these numbers to the numbers for the 2013 and see what you get. I don't think USAA can be beat, for the military man at least. Been with them for 14 years now.
Good luck, I'm stationed at JAF/Fenty if you are passing through and want to get a coffee at Green Beans sometime

I'm here too and have been debating for a long time to get a new one or not (been in Afg since Jun 2010). I've been chatting up Rich at the Phoenix ENCS shop (and Paul for a short time he was there).
I haven't swung by since Dec... but for a free option? Glass roof? Hello!
I need to go reprice!

OK- got some numbers:
GT Prem, 6mt
Track Pack
Glass Roof
Recaro
$36,273 (incl freight and delivery)
At this point, debating Grabber Blue or White. Always went Black on car color in the past (see sig) but willing to try something different.
Promos and "free money" run until 12 MAR.
