Idk but it must be nice paying that low of a price for a mustang!! In Canada a 2011 mustang gt is $47000 with nav and everything and a cs is almost $50,000 by the time your out of there! And the 2012 boss is at least $65,000 and the 2011 gt500 in my local showroom is $77,000.

Come pay California gas prices and let me know if you are still upset. We are always the first state to 5.00 every year for 87. I have a V8 suburban,a big turbo Evo X, now a GT soon and gonna get my wife a Prem V6 if she wants it. So im not exactly an eco kinda guy... so I eat gas fairly quick

If you got the money and don't want creature comforts go for the Boss. There is no sense in the deluxe if you want the same thing. I understand the Boss is not for everyone but it is one bada** car. CO FTW.

Opt for the premium if this will be your DD. That is what I plan to do. Sync from what ive read is well worth. I also like the small things like the ambient and my color so thiat is wht i am going for a premium. Hope this helps and good luck.

Yeah it does.. Its gonna be a DD with Mods as I already have a retarded track car. I just let her know that I was interested in a possible 4th quarter purchase of the Boss and apparently now her GM wants 5k markup to put a name on with possible 10k increase to get it. She said someone has already paid 100k in the area..

I just went off ... So I will be taking my business somewhere else that I know which match the Prem price so its no loss..

How quick people try to screw you over... 10k over msrp.. are you high.. 100k = f@wking stupid

Only buy the Deluxe if you don't want leather seats. That is the only compelling reason.

Buy the Boss, if you can find one and can afford it.

Not everyone likes the Boss. GT premium is far better. How many people really go to the track? Even if you did, you certainly can mod yours to be faster for less and you still do have the comforts. Cloth seats and no SYNC? are you nuts? GT premium is unquestionably better for most people. I do not want to bash the Boss too much, but why buy it when it is so easy to mod yout GT to be faster? I know there is a My track key thing, but just do a tune to your GT and leave it like that and you will not need a track key. If you really like the pain feel of cloth seats and no frills, then just get a base GT. I have heard all about the Boss, and frankly it is not that all that. The parts that are put in to make it faster do not justify the price difference. No thank you, you can keep your Boss.

Well the only way I would get a Base would be because I would get the Recaros but like I said I have a dedicated track car and when I am home I go to the track quite often. Often enough I started a team to get people to the track.
But this would be my DD play car when I dont wanna take the Evo out of the garage...

If you've already got a track car, then I'd say go for the GT Premium. Especially if you plan to mod it anyway. Why pay extra for things that you're gonna get rid of? And good call walking away from the dealer markup...that's rediculous!

If you can afford a BOSS, then there's no question in my mind

FWIW, Automobile Magazine calls the Boss "the best of all current Mustangs.

Here's the link to the article:

Stock to stock I have no doubt that's true, if you don't care about sync, etc. Now put 10k in to a premium GT, and see where the chips lie.

That's a big diff in price. BOSS is over $10K+taxes more, that's like >30% difference.

BOSS would be unique and great at car shows or track. But you said you've already got a dedicated track car.

And since you said you're going to mod it anyways = getting the GT Premium puts $10K in your pocket for mods

Like SD6 said, that's a huge price difference. So if you buy a Boss, will you still mod it? If so, I agree with SD6. Buy a GT and use the money in mods. No sense in modding a Boss.

So a Boss vs a modded out GT with terrible driving dynamics, tons of NVH, a big depreciation hit and no warranty?

Lol, the factory gets their $$$ for a reason.

Personally I went with the GT, I wanted too many of the "creature comforts" that the Boss just didn't offer. Also since I pretty much plan on using this car till I can't keep it running I have no problem modding the car to exactly how I want it. Hell I have a list of parts that will be sitting in my garage before I even pick up my car, as well as parts being installed before I pick it up at the dealer.

I havent been on in a minute.. I am still debating on what to do. I am getting conflicting prices from the dealer so Ill be waiting most likely until I get home to do anything vs having it waiting at home for me.
