Since this is my first post, I'll apologize in advance if I've put it in the wrong forum!

I've been a happy GT drive since 2007 and am looking to order a 2013 GT. My issue is that there doesn't seems to be any real Mustange oriented Ford dealers in Houston...

When asked, one dealer told me the 2013 should start arrving in September (!?);

Another told me there was no way to order a new Mustang, that you just had to take delivery from dealter stock.

Does anyone have a recommendation for salesperson...or dealership in the Houston area?

Any input is appreciated.

Do a search of ford dealers in your area, send them all a note telling them what you want and the ones who want your business will respond the very same day if you start in the morning. Trust me, there are people who want your business. They will work with you.

I bought my 2007 GT there. But these are the folks that told me to check back in September for the 2013's...so my confidence is not high. I'll contact your guy in the parts deparment. Possibly he can refer me to the proper sales rep. I like Tommie Vaughn since they have a lifetime powertrain warranty.

I'll give them a try as well.

Thank, Robby. I went in and talked to Marcus yesterday (he speaks highly of you). He and the fleet manager explained the ordering process and we ran some preliminary numbers. I'm going to shop the price and make a decision this coming week.

I'll let you know if I got through Helfman---not sure what you get for a referral--but they should do something nice for you.

 

I've only been in the Houston area for short while so I would definitely like to hear about your experience. I need to find a good Ford dealer too.

Built it the way I want all at dealer invoice great experience so far will be completing my order monday.

 

Wow, really? Sorry about that man. Anthony is the only one I've talked to over there as he's awesome.

 

When I was looking for my car in January I visited Mak Hiek, Tomball ford, Planet ford, and a couple other places. I must say that Mak Heik was the worst to deal with, the sales man constantly kept disappearing on me and was calling his wife, checking other random stuff instead of working with me. The one in Austin is one of the best dealers I have worked with. The best one I worked with was Planet Ford. At first walk in I thought the place was a joke and a scam. After working with Gary (the Pimp) he was one of the best salesman I have ever worked with he was willing to do what ever it took to make the sale but in the end I did not buy from him as they just did not have what I wanted.

 

Those salesman are idiots if they think the 13's arrive in september. They are fixing to arrive at dealers if they haven't already.

 

I'm in that area....who did you deal with? I'm doing some shopping around and would be interested in the kind of dealer invoice prices you got since I was thinking about using the xplan on a future purchase.

 

Bought my '12 at Champion Ford - Katy.

I dealt with their internet manager David Simpson and he was great to work with.

Now, since he is the internet manager he may refer you to someone else there if you want to order your car but he may talk to you because of my referral.

Tell him that Curtis that bought the Yellow Blaze V6 a couple of weeks back referred you.

 

I dealt with Sam Powell at Tommie Vaughn Ford. Great guy, very responsive. Placed an order for 2013 GT Premium with him on 3/9 and build was sometimes last week. Worked with me on X-plan pricing. Straight forward on pricing including out the door price. Responsive to me on emails.
