Question

I am surprised Ford has not offered a Dead Pedal to match the other pedals. From what I have heard, the Ford engineers know the importance of a dead pedal. Why not have a visible dead pedal installed at the factory ?

In Florida, we get the usual afternoon showers, and tramping in raim/mud onto the carpeted floor mats can make for a dirty, smelly carpet. I will be buying a set of these to protect my investment. Thanks for sharing. Pedals are nice as well, as this is the original reason for this post.

Hey Dave, I know this is a very old thread, but I'm planning on getting the CDC dead pedal for my 2011 GT. Questions - is there enough grip? I track my car, so it's not just a foot rest for me, it's a piece that I apply a lot of foot pressure to. I see the black strips...are they rubber? Like the stock pedals? Does your foot actually plant squarely on the black strips? Or does your foot slide around on the metal? Sorry so many annoying questions, I just want to buy and install the right product for my use. Please let me know, thanks! Also, I'll PM you.

Glad I came in this thread! Been wondering if there was a solution to saving my carpet in that area. I would have gotten the Llyod mats as someone posted in here but I loved my Boss 302 embroidered mats too much lol. Will be ordering the CDC dead pedal tonight from CJ's, thanks guys!

Dead Pedal is the way to go if you plan on racing. Some track meets make you take out floor mats, SCCA Solo II has you remove them along with any other loose interior or exterior items.

You are absolutely correct sir. I run with PCA (Porsche Club of America), and they have the 'remove the mats' rule, also. I'm getting the CDC dead pedal from CJ Pony. Dave (dafreeze) gave me great intel about his.
