Dead Pedal for 2012

Does anyone know of a source for a dead pedal cover for the 2011-12 GTs? My big ol' foot is gonna wear the carpet out if I don't cover it. I see American Muscle has one but it says "GT / CS" on it.

I bought this Scott Drake Dead Pedal from CJ Pony Parts for my '09. It says that it fits on '05-'11 so I'd assume it'd fit on 12's too.

you can get a CDC dead pedal.

pricey, but matches the other pedals.

??? The floor has a raised foot rest. Why does someone need this? That will make your carpet wear faster because you're just heeling it.

I have a set a Lloyds floor mats that cover the dead pedal area because I couldn't find one at the time. Works great, except sometimes that flap slides over and blocks pushing the clutch in all the way.

Agree with Hytec, just get some Lloyds mats, much better than the stockers anyway, and have the dead foot cover. Mine has 7500mi so far and has not slipped over a bit, yes mine is an M6 and I use that dead foot always....made a few road trips.....

You can get that exact one for a lot less from AAC4Parts on ebay. Beats paying AM retail!

Send him a note and ask about dead pedal. I paid $30+6 in 2009. Perfect match.

American Automotive Concepts (AAC) is a Tier 2 supplier for many production and prototype components on a wide range of GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles. We are located in a suburb of Detroit and the owners have been supplying stampings, castings, robotic welding and laser cutting to the automotive industry for over 20 years. We currently supply the factory aluminum pedal kits found in the Mustang Bullitt and Mach 1, SVT Cobra, and Ford F150 Harley-Davidson trucks and the pulley covers for the supercharged SVT Cobra. Since we own the tooling for these components, we can offer you the same great quality as the original equipment found in these vehicles at substantially lower prices than you’ll find anywhere else.

I have a set of the Lloyd's "5.0" mats and they do not cover the carpeted dead pedal.

Does this really Scott Drake pedal really install the way it says in the description?

http://www.cjponyparts.com/dead-peda...-2009/p/PCS29/

"Billet aluminum dead pedal, designed to match the billet aluminum pedal covers. Attaches with barbed spikes that are hammered into the existing dead pedal."

No, it's wrong. I asked them about that before I bought it though they still haven't updated it. Here is my install. It attaches with one bolt that already exists under the carpeting.

Roush makes one for 10+ but you have to buy the whole set...gas, brake, clutch, dp. I believe it's around $100. I don't particularly care for them plus you need to drill through the stock pedals to install.

Feels and looks much better, more secure plant for my left foot. My heel rests on my floormat.

Don't think so...will see what I can do but will likely take a couple days (car's stored 7.5 miles from the house I'm presently renting...all cleaned and BlackDiamandshined...I miss it). Looks like it was installed by the factory. Perfect match with the other pedals.

Bought the Lloyds Ultimats. Ebony is almost a perfect match with the charcoal carpet color (I have the 401A pkg...not sure it that's a different carpet color or not). Ultimats are a lot better quality than the Velourtex (what you see on all the mail order sites w/5.0 emblem) plus I could color match. Didn't want black, w/is a lot darker, and didn't want any emblem. Had Lloyds send several samples in both styles in different colors so I could match.

They make the mats to order and I tried to get them to make my drivers side without the upper left flap that goes over hump for your left foot, but they wouldn't. I didn't want it to lay over my dead pedal so I just cut it off.

Not to mention I wouldn't want anything to block my clutch pedal depression.

I was just giving BarryT another option. It's not like they would go with your nonfuntional side scoops anyways.

SRP Racing has some nice ones as well but its a full set. You can specify options that aren't on their site though so you may be able to call them and see if you can get just the dead pedal. I'm planning on getting a full set from there cuz the stock pedals don't have a lot of grip on wet shoes and it likes to rain a lot in florida in the summer
