Are the current mustang rebates really $2,500???

My dealer said rebates on the 2011 was $2,500 total. $500 customer cash, 1,000 auto show, and 1,000 retail bonus. Is this correct when I go to ford.com and type in my info it only shows $1,500 total.

Reason I ask is $2,500 may sway me to an 11 rather than ordering a 12. Can someone also let me know what financing rates are and how much $ in rebates I forgo if I do the financing? I also have a $500 college certificate & $750 brocure cash can I use them both with the above $2,500 in rebates?

Sorry for all the questions . . . Thanks in advance!!!

Yeah man the rebates are sick right now...I just bought my 2011 a few weeks ago and had 2500 in rebates. Mine included a military $500 rebate...everything helps. Only problem with the 2011's...at least in my area...is that the selection has died down and you can't be as picky. Tough decision...I say if you find one you like then go for it. Only live once!!

In the NW, it's a $1500 factory rebate for '11 V6's & GT's. V6's with the Pony Package or MCA Package get an additional $1,000 rebate ($2,500 total).

Bought mine a month ago and got 2K in rebates, plus they chopped another 2K off for "special pricing"(my being a pain in the azz and haggling forever), but couldn't get that and the sweet finance rate. It was one or the other, I think I got 4.4% (with over an 800 credit score). 2.9 was the best rate offered at the time.

I know that does sound very attractive. It is also attractive to know the wait can be over just by going in to a dealer. If they had anything remotely attractive to me anywhere near, I just might take it, but I do not want white or grey, I do not want a convertible or the California Special package, and I would like a manual. That alone is pretty hard to find here. The electronics package, rear view camera, forget about it. I would potentially sacrifice some, but this is expensive and I would be getting a drastically different GT if I just took an 11. If you can find one you like, that is great, but if not don't sacrifice what you want for the better deal.

Add on the 750 coupon from Ford for requesting a brochure and you're pretty well off!

I also had the dealer find mine 500 miles away. Got just what I wanted, and then some. And a great deal to boot. GET THE CAR "YOU WANT"! And have fun.

I didn't have any luck with the $750 coupon. First of all, I didn't receive a coupon when I got my brochures in the mail. Secondly, my dealer said hey wouldn't honor them in this situation. Oh well, I tried.

Rebates are dependent on zip code, in my area there is only 1500 in rebates.

how long do those coupons last? I ordered my 2012 back the first week in january. No vin or eta on the build but I'm assuming (hopefully) by end of march or early april. I wouldn't mind filling out some stuff on ford's website to hopefully get a coupon sent but not if it will only expire before I get the car.

The brochure coupons I've gotten we're good for about 6 weeks after I received them, the last one I received around the end of july expired the first week of september. So if you request one now and get it you should be good through the first part of april
*I might add that I have received one of these coupons 4 different times over the last 3 years and they have all swayed me to buy a new car when added on top of current available rebates/incentives/financing offers*
