Andrea, I hope that post of yours about the 2014 1/2 didn't get you in trouble! Looks like you were the first to "break" that story and it's getting picked up by the car blogs: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...stang-for-2014.

Oh, dang!
If she does get in trouble, it's practically my fault for even starting this thread.
Sorry, Andrea! I reeeeeeally hope you don't get in trouble for it.
But you gotta figure it was logical since the 2014 order guide didn't include any bit on the "50th Anniversary" title, right?

Okay, we made a mistake. We misunderstood the information and we're sorry for causing all this confusion:
Technically, there was never a 1964 ½ MY. All production units for the 1965 MY were VIN coded for 1965, including the original production units. Any model year can have minor changes with each mid-model year production job update (I’m sure all of you knew this info already, LOL).
I’m still on the edge of my seat along with you guys to see what’s in store and for when.
I know this… 2014 MY production will begin in the first quarter of 2013 and all 2014 MY units will be 2014.

But if you go by this, then how does Ford explain the 20th anniversary cars in 1984, the 35th anniversary cars in 1999, the 40th in 2004, etc etc....
2014 (.5) would have to be the 50th anniversay model, or else all previous years are off by 1.

I sure do hope Ford does bring out a Mustang to commemorate the anniversary of their Total Performance years. Yea, a high horsepower Mustang that goes fast, handles well, stops quickly and sounds tuff.

Wasn't the 1964 1/2 introduced in New York? I've been thinking about a trip to NY just to see the actual reveal at the show. I'm sure someone will get pictures before the show
