Creaking sound from front when driving over speed humps

I drive a 2014 Mustang GT Premium and I noticed that there's this creaking sound (and feel) when driving over speed humps (small or big ones). I wonder if this is normal.

Let me know if you've experienced this and what the fix could be so at least I could also tell the dealership when I go on a check up.

Thank you

Yes, at least to me its normal action of the shocks doing their thing. Likely something with the rebound control. It just an idiosyncrasy. Now, if you're hitting speed bumps at 60mph the noise could be indicative of something else. :-)

I just had the front control arms replaced under warranty on our '13 GT. This is a KNOWN ISSUE at Ford. It is not supposed to creak going over speed bumps!

Thanks! I already included it in the list of things for them to check. I'm just about to do the first 1000 KMs PMS check up. When did you start hearing these sounds anyway?

Our car is a used '13 and we noticed it the first time we went over a speed bump. Naturally, we didn't go over any during the test drive.

Yes, we didn't go over any, too, during the test drive. That's something to really check. Wonder what the fix is.

Haha, no of course not. I always go slow on those speed bumps!

Hello again, pauljohnpena! Since you’re in the Philippines, I recommend calling the Ford Group Phillipines, Inc. at +63 (49) 541 5000 for assistance.

Also, I know we’ve made arrangements with the Overseas Military Sales Corporation (OMSC) to assist with service-related issues. OMSC can help you find a participating service center, which should be able to assist you with the key. Please contact them at 1-800-669-6183 or 9-011-49-6173-704-256. I hope this helps.

Have you addressed this with your Ford Dealer, Darth Paul?

pauljohnpena,
If you check under the Warranty and Service Issue section you'll find your answer. I just had my lower control arms replaced because of that noise which is from the bushings and my '14 GT turned one month old yesterday. The TSB to reference is 12-8-24 (GRUNT/CREAK/CHIRP/SQUEAK NOISE FROM THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM OVER BUMPS).

Get this done ASAP. I thought it was normal on my 12 GT and I put heavy miles on it. After about 20k miles i noticed my tires were wearing very unevenly on the outer tread. I took it in to Ford and they replaced the control arms and did something else (can't find the repair sheet). Squeaking has been gone since. But my tires got worse. When I got a new set of tires put on, the mechanic mentioned how way off my alignment was.
When you get this done, i strongly advise getting your front alignment checked as well.

I'll have to check and see if they replaced mine with the shields.
