Cold air intake whistle

Cold air intake whistle

Mine happens at less than 20% throttle and goes from a whistle to a whistle/whoosh then nothing hmmmmm anybody else here have the same thing

happens on like any car with an open element intake.

Thanks both me and my buddy have boss manifolds and I have a jlt and he runs an airaid and it's a big mystery at first I was like is there a vacuum leak but there about half a dozen thing that give that away misfires, bad idle, whistle at idle, and the cel going and my stang is running perfect no problems

have all done this when they have had a CAI or open element filters.

Basically, everything has, lol.

I have the stock airbox and filter still but when i cleaned and oiled it with K&Nʻs kit it started whistling then the whistle/whoosh sound starting at around 2k rpmʻs

that was it probably choking due to the intake restriction from the oily K&N

Actually ive noticed that it picks up a bit quicker (butt dyno), sounds a lil throatier, and my mpgʻs have actually increased a bit. Although all that could just be that i finally cleaned it after 44k miles

Sorry my cars stock. Besides i hvnt really seen data proving any CAI is necessarily "better" than a normal aurbox other than bein a more open element
