Clutch question
Hello
I recently purchased a 2012 gt with brembo pkg, everything is fine, i am enjoying the car, but my clutch is engaging almost at the point where I let my foot off the pedal, is that how it is supposed to work ? Also sometimes I start to move with second gear and I see a very little vibration when engaging, this also happens in 1st gear on a uphill start, anyone having similar issues ?

Sai I would think that is not normal there should be some play in the clutch pedal before engaging/disengaging. Take it in for a check up or at least go and ask a service advisor. As far as the vibration I don't get what your trying to say.
Romain that was one of the most helpful posts I have seen around here in a long time

guys at what position of clutch pedal release does your car starts moving or it starts engaging the transmission ?
1.at half the way out
2.at all the way out
3.at almost near a point where pedal position is close to ground
Mine engages transmission at 2

As for the vibration, that's just your motor lugging a little bit, give it a tiny bit more gas and see if this fixes your issue.

its exactly what it sounds like. you can start from a stop (on flat ground) without touching the gas pedal. This will give you a much better idea of where the clutch starts to engage. Just put it in first (reverse is even easier) and slowly let out the clutch. When I do this I will start to move with the clutch about 2/3 of the way out.
EDIT: 2/3 not 1/3. iPhone keyboard =/

In my experience, Ford's clutch pedals have always had a rather early and quick engagement when compared to other vehicles I've owned and driven.
As long as it's not slipping, failing to disengage etc I would think this is probably just a characteristic of your car.
There are aftermarket products out there to help you adjust the pedal to a level better for you if it's that big of an issue.
