Clicking under the dashboard? Anyone else?

Not to be confused with the "ignitor tick" that eminates from the engine bay, this is a whole new tick to ponder over.

This one shows up, most frequently (but not always) when hitting the brake pedal and decelerating. I can't seem to make this happen when hitting the pedal while the car is stationary. It's a soft but noticable tick, almost sounds like an electrical short...but I have no other symptoms that would lead me to that conclusion.

Anyone else experiencing this one?

Doesn't happen at all when you adjust your HVAC? It sounds like the blend door actuators but the fact that it happens under braking is bizarre.

A good hypothesis but no...it happens regardless of the HVAC controls being operated.

the under dash ticking happens to me all the time when I go over small cracks in the road. Super annoying. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out.

I had the same issue and took mine to the stealer with no luck of course ("couldn't duplicate the problem"). So I took my dash apart myself and installed the soft side of Velcro stripping where the noise was coming from around the gauge cluster. No more rattles.

Yep...I think you guys both discovered what I have figured out. It's just a rattle.

2012GT, how did you narrow it down to that spot? Any tips on making the rattle happen while stationary?

No sir. I just put it everywhere that I could because I could only determine that it was coming from the gauge cluster area. It didn't make the rattle while stationary. It only did it on the smallest bumps on the roadway.
