OP did not mention what rear gearing they had. Makes a difference.

I normally see around 20-22 on the highway. I average about 17 or so generally. I don't shift at low RPMs and I drive the car with a very heavy foot.

3.73 Gears.

Interesting. I can't help noticing that most V6 owners are getting lower mpg than the V8 owners, in this thread. I assumed the V8 was a more sophisticated powerplant, and I didn't buy for gas mileage, but still a bit surprising.

I think that maybe they v6 owners are loving the car so much they are pushing it hard and revving the crap out of it(because its fun) and thats hurts the old mpg numbers. I dont know about the v6 but I would shift my v8 at 1800 rpm most of the time when I was out for mpg.

I usually cruise along at 2000 rpm (V6/M6) if possible, perhaps an old habit from smaller engines that I need to unlearn (?). We rev the V6 to get some torque... As long as I don't need to accelerate or go up a slight incline, I can get by at a little lower rpm, but I don't feel that comfortable because I have no grunt if needed for any kind of "evasive" maneuvering.

Edit: I gave running at <2k rpm a better chance for a few days, let's call it one gear higher than I'd normally use, and it's definitely OK in most of my highway driving. Certainly a large increase in mpg, duh. Most of my driving is what would be called city driving, and yeah, a lighter foot and shifting much sooner has made a noticeable diff, even just since this thread started... Nice to know I can do it if I want to...gas is a lot more here (down to $4.50/gal today...) than what some have recently mentioned in the U.S.

What is MPG? I think you meant MPH, but hit the G instead.

I'm getting an honest 24.2 to 24.6 on my highway drive from Orlando to Tampa 4 days a week. Cruise control set at just under 80. Odometer reading is 35700 (today). Rear gearing is 3:31.

I have put about 7500 miles on since taking delivery in the spring. My average daily driving to and from work I've seen as low as 19 and as high as 21.5... Ive also taken it in a 650 mile road trip where I was able to get 25.5 keeping the cruise set just above 70. Overall I am super pleased with what I get for mileage.
Ive also been to two HPDE days where I got 7.5

Yeah, I can have crazy MPG ratings with only .4 gal used too, let's see what the display reads after 14+ gal used.

It was just an example of my highest MPG read out. Pretty good for 18 miles. Hard for anyone to reproduce. 14+ gal highway will be 30 mpg. City would be 22.

I average 19.2 with ALOT of city driving, I live in a city, go to school in the same city. On the highway 25mpg is common if I put it in 6th and just ride.

Now my Honda that I drive everyday gets 36ish in the city and 50ish on the highway
