Check engine light

I have a 2010 GT and my check engine light just came on....there are 6000 kms on the car all fluids are topped....the dealership I bought the car (Chrysler) did an oil change just before I drove it home....I noticed the oil temp was a little on the hot side could that cause a check engine light to come on...or any other suggestions ?

If they put the wrong oil in might that do something, car runs great

Oil Temp? It wouldn't have an oil temp gauge. Should be water temp, oil pressure, batt voltage and fuel.

I would take it back to the dealer and have them check the code. Could be something very simple.

Top left is fuel level
Top right is engine temp
Bottom left is battery voltage
Bottom right is oil pressure.

Well just a heads up, the battery and oil pressure gauges are pretty much worthless. Anything in the middle or just a bit high is normal. If you ever have a problem, it'll suddenly go waaay high or waaay low. But by then, it's too late.
