Change GT Grill
The driving lights are awesome. She has headlight envy!
I actually was wanting to see a GT with the Base V6 grille though so I see why you might ask. I do like the GT's driving lights but the base V6 reminds me of the Bullitt grille just with a pony, put a 2010 GT pony in there and it'd be killer.

It's not just the grill that is different between the GT and V6. It's the whole bumper cover. A cheaper solution would be to replace the GT's grill with a billet grill from Roush.

Some people have also found happiness with a grill from Saleen.

Edit: Ok, now I see the little lip on the GT, it's not smooth like the V6. Hmm, that's a shame. Oh well, nothing a little bondo can't fix. Maybe.

With the V6, the grill surround is one piece with the bumper cover. On the GT, it's a separate piece. It sure looks like the grills are the same size but apparently they are not. That grill surround is flat black on the GT, but if you would prefer that it were body colored like on the V6, you can have it painted. I did on mine.

this looks like the answer
yeah but then you will have no fog lights at all . . .
if you get the Roush grill and lower facia / bumper cover, you can move the fogs down low -- that is what I would like to do with mine someday when I finish saving my pennies . . . . but obviously it costs quite a few more pennies than the grill alone

If you still want the Fogs you can get the CS/GT Lower Facia BR3Z-15200-AA.
The Answer is yes, you need to get the California Special Grill surround BR3Z-8419-AA from Ford and have it painted and then you can run the California Special Grill, Pony Package grill or any of the other V6 Grills.

Get the Roush billet grille and then the CS lower valance with fog lights. Many members have gone this route and it looks terrific. I prefer the looks of the Roush grill over the Saleen.
Interested in buying a pair of factory (GT) fogs if anyone is selling. Working on a Driving light conversion. Email me!
