That one does look much better than the previous one I posted. I would think you might be able to get a better deal on the paint though, 500 seems a little high.

that seems so high. When I had my accident in my old mustang, I needed paint on the hood, a whole front bumper, new headlights and a new fender all with paint, and labor and it cost me 2000.

So I guess if you got quoted 850 than 500 does seem very reasonable lol.

I bought my hood pre-painted from Cervini. The cost for everything was less than $1000 shipped and the color was dead nuts on.

I also read somewhere that you are able to order the cervini product pre painted from them. That's good to know. Thanks!

Thanks, man! Your car is super sweet!

Have you ever tried autocross with your Roush? I was at Goodguys last weekend and watched the autocross and it looked like a blast! Goodguys is opening up Sunday to late model muscle cars. I might take the Mustang out next time and give the autocross a try.

Have you gotten your kit yet?

It's been two weeks since I ordered mine, and they told me then that it was on back-order for two weeks. Haven't heard a peep from them. Another broken promise?

Dang, just noticed, since I was now curious about the Cervini's hoods (as I always wanted the ram air hood for my '03 Lightning), that the Cervini's Stalker hood is basically the same as the Trufiber/Trucarbon A72KR model hood. Matter of fact the blue mustang earlier in the thread is on the Trufiber site for the hood!

I wonder what the subtle differences are, as the Cervini's hood is about $150 less expensive for the fiberglass and about $1150 less than the Trucarbon carbon fiber version (which saves about 10lbs)?

Three weeks since order, and nothing.

Has ANYBODY that ordered their kit received it yet?

The subtle differences are that TruFiber ships their hoods with the ram air ducting built in. With Cervini's, you're paying for a promise to produce something that will probably never really be made.

When I ordered my hood I was told it would be 4-6 weeks, the ram air kit is on backorder. My week 6 is next week. My hood is also being painted by Cervinis. I hope to hear from them next week.

Fingers crossed for ya. Hope they got it worked out or I'm going TruFiber.

Not yet. But then it took over a month to get my hood when I ordered it, so I guess I wait. As a silver lining, I'll be happy when I get it and have the system completed.
