I really like the seats but would rather not have shaker 500 in there because I would just rip it out anyway. So could someone plz tell me what all comes with the premium package and how much it costs? Thanks.

This info is available from the Order and Price guides which are posted in the sticky's at the top of this forum. The Order Guide lists incremental standard equipment that comes with the Premium package, the list is different for the V6 and the GT. The cost is the difference in the base prices between the base and Premium packages as listed in the Price Guide.

dmhines, I noticed your from Cumming, Georgia also. If you don't mind me asking, what part of the Cumming area do you live, and of course, do you have a new 5.0 on order?

I'm right off GA 400 Exit 16. I just bought my 2010 so I do not have a 2011 on order ...

My bad, I didn't look close enough at your car in your sig ang thought it was the 2011 in the new yellow. Your car looks very good in Sunset gold. I would hav enoticed it driving around Cumming, so I am assuming it's fairly new. You might have seen my 2000 yellow Steeda gt running around, it's kind of hard to miss. I have a Kona Blue 2011 GT on order to replace this car, so in the not so distant future, Cumming will have at least 2 new cool stangs running around.

Eh, yeah you can. You just have to know what you're doing and have the right tools...

If you don't care about sync you can just rewire the vehicle. Just run speaker wire directly from the new head unit ( they make dash kits for these cars now ) to the after market speakers ( not sure if shaker system speakers are 2oh or 4ohm - this matters if you want to retain the stock speakers ) or from a 4 chan amp to the speakers. If you care about sync I think someone actually makes an harness that retains sync for these cars now.

There are a lot of cars out there now with premium factory sound systems ( Bose, Infinity, Boston, Shaker, etc ) so this has become common practice in the stereo world.

Since you have a background in low-voltage electronics, may I suggest you look into a Fire Alarm Service Technician position?
Easy work, required annual testing, job security. Once you are NICET certified, you can work anywhere in the country.
