Buying Mustang GT - Need Advice
Hello All,
Looking for advice on buying another Mustang. Was in a very bad crash last month which totaled my 2005 Mustang GT Coupe.
Thinking of upgrading to a 13-14 Mustang GT. Need it to be automatic and coupe (had my 2005 not been a coupe I would have been probably dead).
Question/Confusion
I personally dont like the look on the 15+ Mustang's, I am a fan of the 05-09 look but taking the crash as an opportunity to upgrade to a Coyote. As for 2011-2012 GT's I do not like the looks on those (strange as it may sound, as most peeps dont like the look on the 13-14).
I want a 13-14GT so I can make some mods to it, and I dont break the bank.
What is a good budget for a 2013-2014 Mustang GT Coupe automatic with say 20-30k miles? Locally, dealers (Carmax, Autonation) are selling them for 23-24k. I have also read Ford is giving a discount on the 2017 GT, and that can be had for less than 30k.
Looking for some advice. Thanks for ready and have a safe long weekend.
PS:- If anyone selling one, I am in South Florida.

They're definitely still going for low to mid $20ks out here too. A lightly used 2016 PP definitely seems like a better deal as those are only a couple grand more. I havent seen any new ones for under $30k, but I guess you never know.

I would go check this one out

There's no engine bay pic, but the 5.0 badge says "supercharged". Definitely lots of aftermarket parts regardless.

Add to that the fine print.
"The advertised Special Offer balance, after a twenty percent cash investment, excludes: registration, tax, pre-delivery inspection charges, and finance charges."
I will go check him out though.

First thing to do is to REALLY study the market, then shop hard and be ready to pounce when you find that great deal. Take your time. Don't be in a big hurry to buy the first thing that comes along. ANYONE can go out today and overpay for a car. The educated shopper typically gets the best deal.
Good luck in your hunting!

I had a similar issue in 2012 when I bought my car. I had decided on a 2010 Gt. I loved the looks of the refresh but wanted the reliability of the known v8 from the 2005-2009 Gt. The 2013 Gt was low 30s new, the used 2011s were going for the high 20s and I couldn't find a 2010 for less than 27,000.
I ended up looking around at local areas within a 2 hour drive from my house. Where I lived, mustangs were in demand. 2 hours away in San Diego, I found a low mileage Gt with every option outside of nav and glass roof for 26,000. It only had 7000 miles and they couldn't move it at the dealership.
I guess what I'm trying to say is if you are willing to drive a bit, you can find amazing deals in other markets.
