Bullitt Rims for a 2014 GT

I've been looking online at the Bullitt rims from AM. I was originally going to purchase Torque II from American Racing, but the Bullitt Rims stay true the Mustang. My question is has anyone here purchased rims from AM? Or should I buy from a local wheel shop?
Thanks

Thousands upon thousands of people have bought wheels from A/M with very few issues, and none that wasn't made good by A/M.

Though a true statement, a few folks have also had issues.

I have this setup:

Black Bullit

The only issue that I had were the wheel weights were mounted too far inboard and they rubbed on the front calipers. I had to remove them and have the wheels re-balanced at a local shop.

Otherwise I have had no other issues with the wheels or tires.

I have the same wheels. They looked outstanding on my V6. Traded the car tho.

Ordered a set of wheels form AM over Christmas. Wheels came well packaged, and were in great shape. They balanced up quickly. AM is a good company, with great customer service.

The Torq Thrust II wheels ARE the original "Bullitt" wheels. I'm not sure what you mean. That being said, don't get 20s if you live in an area with potholes (see TheDivaDanielle's posts on this).

actually the Torq Thrust D was the original.

everything else is just a copy.

I did end up with a few bent up wheels from the crappy local roads of Washington DC, in actuality they were basically all from the same pothole at once. To protect my investment better, I'm sticking with a 20" wheel, but having tires with more sidewall.

These are real 20x8.5 / 20x10 American Racing Torq Thrust M (for Modern):

My only advice is that if you're lowered like 1.5" or more don't run wider than like a 285 out back, and try to run a 35 or 40 series sidewall up front and no less than a 35 out back to protect the wheels from potholes.

That's what I meant, the D! But really, I did mean that, just typed II subconsciously because I was reading it as I typed.

American Racing Torq Thrust CL203 or Vintage Wheel Works V45 are my two favorite, but they cost real money.
