Bridgestone Blizzaks LM60 or Pirelli SottoZero winter tires

Dammit, I ordered Sottozeros and I was told they would ship today. However, they got delayed until end of December. My stock summer tires are done so Im worried in cold weather. They have the blizzaks in stock but Based on my research, i think that pirellis fit my needs. We dont get much snow but its mostly cold and dry. I dont want to lose much handling performance and traction as well as road noise. Should I wait? Michelin Alpins are out of stock until mid January and thats not for sure either. I waited too long :/

Size Im getting is 255/40/19.

I ordered my Sottozeros this last weekend - apparently a week too late because I got caught up in the delay as well. I think they're worth the wait.

These are great tires. I ran them last winter on another car and had absolutely no issues with traction (when driving normally).

As a matter of fact, I have some Porsche winter wheels for sale if anyone needs them.

I am running blizzaks on my 12 GT. I've had blizzaks on my last 7 cars. Phenomenal.

Where are you ordering from?!?!? after negative experiences with tirerack I decided to cut the BS and go to the local tire shop and they got me a great deal plus they can get the tire to you by 1pm the next day....plus free rotation and balancing for the duration of the tire...

Weird, I haven't had any problems with the Tire Rack. The local shops around here charge twice as much for the same tires.

I ran Blizzaks on an '04 MACH I I had a few years ago. Great traction when the roads went to crud, but didn't have the dry road performance of the Pirellis.

If yall are interested in Bridgestone tires. Wait to buy the last business day of the month. Firestone store. Find out who the tire manager is. Stop by before hand to find out who he is and availability. Tire managers get a bonus for every set sold each month. Price them on tire rack and offer about $80 less than racks price. Those guys will take a loss on a set just to move units and get the bonus. Worked for Firestone for 4 years.

I wouldn't want to drive on summer tires for the next three weeks, personally, but not sure what the snow levels are like where you live. Blizzaks seem to be universally loved so I'd go with them. I've got them on mine.

I put LM-60's on mine.

I like them a lot so far. Yes they are softer in the sidewalls compared to the pirellis, but the grip is pretty good.

Waiting for snow to test them out.
