Question Brembos be added to a California Special??

Can the Brembro brake package be added later to the California Special? Maybe not with the C/S wheels, because of clearance issues. I love the Cali. I love the wheels on it too. Dont care for the brembo gray stainless wheels.

However, it needs good brakes, because I intend to also supercharge it-

If anyone can let me know..

Brembos can be added to any Mustang past or present.

How do you guys know the CS wheels won't work with the brembo brakes? Has anyone actually tried them out?

Can't have tried them out yet since none have been available yet to try...

And a much less expensive alternative to the brembo is a set of Baer EradiSpeed Plus 2 upgrade rotors and brackets. You can then have 14" brakes all around, not just on the front. And the rotors are drilled and slotted too.

I think it's mentioned in the order guide PDF so if that is the case then it is true.

It doesn't fit. You could probably make it fit with a spacer. I'll tell you when my car arrives.

I think most people are assuming they won't clear the GT/CS wheels because Ford says you can't have the Brembo's on the 402A package. It's a logical assumption since the 402A wheels are different. It's also a moot point since you can't buy both options on the same car. If I bought a GT/CS I would wait until the original pads were ready for replacement and then upgrade to the best aftermarket brakes that would fit inside the stock GT/CS wheels. Same for the tires. But then again, I would not be road racing the car as some others might.

Would putting Brembos on California Special void Warranty?

I love the look of the California GT in BLACK, with all the options. However, the fact that it's going to cost me an arm and a leg to get it outfitted with Brembos/Rotors/Etc seems like a dealbreaker-

Would it also VOID the WARRANTY TOO? I would think so...

It would void the warranty on the front brakes.
