Brembo pkg wheel weight??

Does anyone know or have any idea how much these wheels are going to weigh?

Did the track pack wheels last year have any weight advantage?

Starting to get an upgrade list together for when my baby arrives??

Ford Lists the Shipping weight of the bare wheel 11 {Brembo Package} at 34lbs.

That seems pretty high, but actual weight is probably a few pounds less than shipping weight due to shipping weight including the box and packing materials.

More Wheel Info.
Awesome thanks for the info, so that means that using some forged wheels that usually weigh in around 20lbs i would only be saving around 40-60 lbs on the wheels by upgrading to forged wheels.

Not sure if that's going to be worth it for the price premium. Plus i really like the brembo wheels that come with it.

For comparison's sake do you know what the stock 19" 2010 gt500 wheels weigh each?

Off topic, but KC, can you check your e-mail or allow me to PM you? Got some issues. Thanks!

BTW, I may seriously be interested in some of the new Brembo wheels. They are SWEET!

If they are truly in the 30lb range I would ditch them immediately. If you can save almost 30lbs of rotational mass that would be huge.

I'm thinking of getting a set of Forgestar's. They weigh in at 22lbs front and 24lbs rear for 19X9 and 19X10. They can be had for around $1400.

Look very simialar to these..

Here they are on a 997S..

Thanks for the suggestion and those are nice wheels but i think i am just going to keep the OEM wheels.

It was worth it to me when i thought i was getting rid of 100lbs rotational mass but with it only being 30-40lbs i think i'll just stand pat.

Not to mention i really like the brembo wheels and it looks like they aren't going to be everywhere judging from others comments on them

That's why I'm trying to find out if my 17x9 5Zigen will clear the Brembos ... they weigh 18.5 lbs for my track wheels where that extra mass reduction will greatly improve handling & braking !

I'll tell ya what i know from looking for wheels...

If they fit the gt500 big brakes then they will supposedly fit the new gt's big brake kit.

Those would be the first 17" wheels i have seen that do fit. If you are looking for another trackable wheel i have been also looking at the steeda ultralites 18" wheel they claim they fit around the gt500's brakes which in turn means they should fit a gt with the brembo kit. They do weigh around 18-20lbs but they are an inch taller.

Hope it helps.
