Brembo brakes and dust??
Oh there is no doubt the Brembo brake package is worth it.
I've ordered it I was just wondering about the dust as I hate having to clean wheels every time I drive my car 40-50 miles.
I wonder if Hawk or Axxis will make replacement pads for them as they have high performance pads that dust very little. If so, maybe a pad swap out will be in order early on.

Love the brakes but the dust is awful lol...literally starting to black after every 50 mils or so. I'v in allot of city traffic though so my brakes get a ton of use.
Nothing about 2-3 minutes with a power ball cant fix if you keep up with it!

VERY VERY dusty. I'd better be able to get some Hawk Ceramics for this. On the otherhand, if you want black rims, just don't wash them at all and save some cash.
I haven't had them at the track yet.. I want to know what 18" rims get past the Brembos.

As to 18" wheels that clear, the SVE Tenth anniversary wheels that late model resto sells will clear them. Those are the wheels that Falken tires uses on their Brembo car.

No issues w/ dust for me. There is a very small amount of dust.
I never use my brakes very much though, so the pads / rotors on my cars always last a long time.
It may be related to driving style.
The wife always gets lots of dust on her wheels too.

Yeah that's what I've used before and hope to get for the Brembo brakes too since everybody here has stated they get very dusty.
I know the front Brembo brakes are the same as the GT500 uses, but is that the case for the rear brakes on the GT with the Brembo brakes too?
If so, guess we can just order the Hawk pads that fit the 2010/2011 GT500 front and rear.

Well on Hawk's website if you put in for a 2011 GT500 and select the Ceramics you get these part numbers:
HB453Z.585 (front)
HB485Z.656 (rear)
Do the same with the 2011 GT and those same two part numbers appear in the list.
So it appears that the GT500 and 2011 GT with Brembo brakes use the same brakes front and rear. It would be nice to verify this with someone before ordering a set of the Hawk Ceramics and taking the time to remove the wheels/tires and brake calipers first.
