Boss intake where your limiter?
Hey guys I just decided to pull the plug in a boss manifold and jlt intake. I so hyped up but I want to know where u guys have ur limiters set so when I get my new tunes after I buy the parts in March. I want the limiter to at safe level that in cause I bounce I can sleep at night. I a lot of sprited driving and some auto cross and I have to admit I've hit my 93 bama races tunes a couple of times it happens but any info thanks guys

Also interested to see what people are running up to and especially if done in a track environment for extended periods of time. Would love to take my engine to 7500 rpm or so once I get out I warranty

Interesting conversation. I have read some of the engineering specs on the coyote version of the 5.0. Some people get away with 7800+ but 7500 should be the "limit".

kinda my thought. I wouldn't put a boss intake on my car for just three hundred extra RPM.

as much as i like am and bama all they did here is compare the stock hp and tq at the wheels from the factorys and then the hp and tq at the wheel with all the mods not a bad thing but a trick none the less

A coworker has a 2012 Boss with longtubes and full exhaust and was dyno tuned, [no canned mail tune] it make 459-461hp and redline is set at 8000rmp. Car ran 11.60s with some 2.0 60 foot times until he gets sorted out.

Let me state that differently - looking at the improved readings with the tune, the tune flatlines about 7k. So why worry about spinning higher than 7k? Why worry about 7.6 - 7.8?? I don't see any hp gain past 7k....
