BOSS features we want on the GT

As of now it is speculated that down the line the GT will see some of the trickle down from the Boss. Through the other posts it seems like everyone has their opinions of what they would like to see from the Boss. What changes would you like to see? BOSS upfitter package?

A few off my head:

Alcantara Steering wheel
New Aluminum dash trim
Recaro's with GT embroidery
Possible wheel selections
BOSS Engine Mods (not the biggest of my worries)
Torsen rear diff.
Adj. Shock/Struts
Brake Ducts

I'd say the quad exhaust but then it'd pretty much be a Boss.

The main things I want are the Recaro seats and Torsen LSD. I hate rebuilding the traction-lock diff, which needs to be done several times a year when autocrossing.

Brake duct kit will be a Ford Racing part, that's been known for some time.

Recaros with NO embroidery or a running pony would be my choice.

Black shift ****.

Rear seat delete, although I think this one is gonna stay limited to the LS only.

And the magical "key" that's been alluded to by Leno.

Gauge pod as an option from FRPP that is used on the LS model. Hopefully something that's a simple install, instead of running wires everywhere.

Smile The Boss is back

1. The boss heads ( or just port mine ), valve-train, and intake manifold. Then add some comp cams.
2. Shocks and struts
3. The Recaro's or just the drivers seat
4. The shift **** could be nice
5. Lower fascia ( same as GT/CS )

As far as items trickling down to the GT, it would be nice if they made the shocks/struts part of a handling pkg or add to the Brembo brake pkg. The Recaro's should be an option.

can't you just mod your gt with the boss engine and suspension mods without the exterior changes? One is that possible? forgive my auto ignorance. I like the boss performance...but i'm not fond of its looks

I want the rear seat delete with the brace. Altho I am in the process of doing that myself.

I guess all I really want is the Gauge pod. Everything else that comes with the boss that makes it great I am going to end up replacing and or adding any ways.

I love the guage pod too, but don't get too excited about the performance computer, it's a pain in the butt. I have one in my car (Autometer DPIC) and it's not even tied into the computer; it is completely independent and uses an accelerometer and timer to calculate the performance times.

It's not so much the guage performance, it's the fact that it never recalibrates to zero on its own; you have to do it manually, or else you always have LEDs flashing at you. If it wasn't such a PITA to pull my gauge pod I'd rip mine out...

Now, a real shift light, THAT is useful.

The suspension bits, Recaro seats and Torsen diff would all be nice to have.

Those of you saying suspension bits and Torsen, let's be realistic. Why would Ford offer EVERY part to make the GT a Boss when they have a trim level dedicated to it? Any major performance bits would water down the luster of the Boss if available as an option on the GT.

I'd like to see the smaller accessories, but keep the performance parts unique, or possibly some offering through FRPP.

The Alcantra steering wheel, Torsen diff. Maybe the Recaro seats depending on price.

I guess if I had to pick some just because I like the GT premium. I'd go with the Steering wheel, Recaro's and shifter. Everything else can be Boss specific. The exhaust would be nice but I don't ever foresee that comming to the GT.

Technically yes, the other stuff could be added by way of after market. I agree about FRPP offering some of the parts too. Sadly I want the Comp Orange color. I'd just like to see the car a little lower. So if I have any doubts about going Boss, it would be nice to get a few parts and the rest do the way I want.

If I have to go to the FRPP catalog to get the performance stuff, that's okay, as long as I can get them.

I'd rather get an eaton truetrac, than pay ford for a torsen LSD which will be priced stupid from them because it's a "boss" part.

The Boss doesn't have cockpit adjustable shocks/struts. You have to adjust them individually at each corner by hand.

If all or many of the Boss parts are available through the FRPP catalog, that's cool. But if they were to offer most of the Boss components as factory-installed options on the Mustang GT, that really makes the Boss model less special, doesn't it? Even though I'm not going to buy one, I'd prefer keeping the Boss on somewhat of a pedestal. That's not possible if you can equip a GT with everything except the Boss stripes.
