Boss 302 dash panels

Hi folks - I saw a thread from a couple of years ago where someone swapped out their dash trim pieces and replaced them with the Boss 302 dash trim (dark aluminum - engine turned appearance).
I have searched on both fordparts.com as well as fordpartsgiant.com and none of the parts' descriptions seem to match what I'm looking for.
Any ideas?

Isnt the boss trim on the dash the same as a CS. You might look up CS parts.

No, the CS has faux carbon fiber. The Boss 302 dash is dark spherical brushed aluminum.

YES! Exactly what I am looking for KushBandit! Think I may stop by a dealership parts department tomorrow to see if they can be of any help.

Honestly bro, I feel that's your best chance on finding what you're looking for. You could also check eBay. I looked everywhere I could and had no luck on the parts sites.

Look up Whitebear Ford Parts (a dealer in Minnesota) and ask for Mike R. They sell Ford parts at 10% above dealer cost. He can get you what you need. I'm looking to do this dash also. And the GT500 speaker grills for the 8s and Boss/GT500 door handles.

Thanks imeyers. So all you need is the left and right dash board air vent, and the dash panel in dark aluminum? How hard would they be to install?

I have this same question. On my GT premium, the bottom section is lifted slightly on the far side and doesn't lay flush with the top one or the panel around the right most air vent. I want to replace it but don't want to break anything.

Mine is the same way. Drives me nuts.

I wonder how it'd look if you left the bottom half of the airbag hatch as brushed aluminum....

I'm thinking about just doing the 401A panels too. I don't want the Boss 302 logo on that panel - I wonder if it's etched or a sticker.

It looks like it's a separate piece, because they want $11 for it. "Instrument panel cover w/ Boss 302"

Also, they don't show #5 witch surrounds the speedo, tach, and left vent. Where is that at?

Do you have any pics of those? Also, the chrome ring and grill on the 8's are part of the speaker. It's not a cover.

That's right, I always forget that. Maybe I'll just paint mine.

The 401a panels are different than the premium? Ok I have those then. I've seen two others in person like mine too. A boss with the top piece lifted and another 401a with the bottom lifted.

But when I see stock photos like above with it all flat it makes me crazy.

I wonder if it's just an install thing. Maybe a clip is off. Even though I push on it and it doesn't help.

Guys:

Instrument pops right off.
Remove the glove box
Remove the two screws for the airbag
Gently push passenger airbag out
Remove screw for passenger vent
Remove both screw for middle vent

The airbag cover is one piece and held together by fabric. Little you can do, except a new one. Or try to take the unit out and bend it in place

Thanks Lexi. Does the airbag have to come out? Moving stuff like that freaks me out in that I put it back wrong and it doesn't work when needed. Also do you have a diagrams or pics along with your steps?

The airbag needs to come out. The panel is part of the airbag module, but can be separated.

Yep you have the 401A package. Mine are much lighter brushed silver versus the dark gunmetal patterned dash you have.
