Are black wheels ghetto?

I'm getting the CS front valence and the Roush black billet grille, which I think will look sick.

I don't think the grille looks that great with the stock 18" GT rims, was looking at black version of the Brembo wheels...

Too ghetto? What about these ford wheels: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=12612

IMO the 2nd one (split-spoke) would look waaaaay better. I don't think black wheels are "ghetto", it's just that all black wheels, with nothing to set off the tire from the wheel, just look like a featureless blob in the wheelwell. That's just my 2 cents, which is on special this week for a penny.

Yes. But that is me.

Its your car, do what you want! If you have to ask another's opinion you are simply looking for confirmation or denial. So go with your original inclination!

I've generally hear the term "ghetto" applied to overly garish modifications meant to draw attention because they were "over-the-top".

Changing a wheel color, if done with the aesthetics of the car's overall color, can add to the visual appeal.

As mentioned, opinions vary... but I'm not sure I've seen ANY black wheels that look good on a Mustang to me... and I really only like two of all the wheels Ford offers.

Now, some 22" chrome spinners might turn some heads...

Same style as the wheels uses on the Brembo package, cept'n day be black. What's ghetto and what's not is a moving target, tastes change daily. Use your own good jusgment and you'll likely be happy. I'd say you have good taste in selecting the black ones - personnaly I think they'll look sharp.

I'm not a fan of completely black wheels. There needs to be some other color in there to give the wheel some definition. So do I think they're ghetto? Kinda

I think chrome is more "ghetto" than black wheels

And I like those better than the standard Brembo wheels

Short answer - second link

It is obviously personal preference, but I think if you spend a lot of money on wheels, why paint them black? I prefer to see where I spend my hard earned bucks

IMO the only way black looks good is on a gray, silver, red or black car... the blue/black combo is butt ugly...

Not a fan of chrome, but some of the polished aluminum rims look good depending on the car color.

I think gray looks good (ala the 19 inch wheels on the Brembo package)....
