A bit rough in second?

Has anybody observed that the 5.0 feels like it rides a bit rough in second gear, around 2000 rpm or so? I'm not altogether that familiar with high performance cars or manual transmissions, so for all I know I'm just imagining things!

Actually i noticed this yesterday when it was at pretty low RPM. Maybe its because its wanting us to go into first? But then again i dont know much so thats just speculation on my part lol

Actually try going to third. Its likely a little rubber banding in the drive train. Its a V8 it doesnt need the rpm held up very high in normal driving. Its geared for 1366 rpm at 50 mph cruise (If you have 3.31).

I don't care about it if it's nothing to worry about. Second does seem like a good gear to be in while driving in parking lot, but I can do it in third instead.

I noticed this too, just doesn't feel as "smooth" I've also noticed a clunking sound while disengaging the clutch while in reverse. I have 3.73's

I notice it to. Especially with a cold engine. However close to over 90 degrees, here and I take it easy till it warms up. Which takes like 5 min;s. Reving her up helps but don't want to be hard on a cold engine

I do not plan to drive her in the winter. But wonder what it would be like on really cold weather?

Just a thought.
