Best way to make a GT drive more like a Boss 302?

In California, technically 20+ mph over the speed limit is reckless driving. If a chp/officer really wants to stick it to you, they are within the law to do so. If you're doing 25+ over, you're almost guaranteed to get a misdemeanor reckless driving fine. You might not get arrested, but it's a possibility.

So 140 on an empty 70mph highway is probably bad

I should have slowed down but there was a TON of traffic behind me.
So I sped up so that I didn't cut the truck off like a jackass, and end up passing a big pickup on a 60 km/h road but was caught doing 104 km/H.
I was totally in the wrong. But the cop was amazed at how fast that car picked up speed.
He said it was instantaneous.
I definitely didn't treat the car or the other drivers that day with the respect they deserve.
Luckily the ticket was ONLY 45 over. So, 4 demerits plus $300 fine. God knows what will happen with my insurance :-(

Wow. I've pretty routinely hit triple digits on my drive to/from work. Not for long, as soon as I see a long stretch of emptiness on a 3 lane highway it's game on for 30 seconds. Car does pick up speed really fast.
My record on a public road so far has been 1?4mph on I-40 in Arizona. Rental Corvette
On a closed course I have hit 184mph is a Z06. In February in Michigan. Could have been 10-15 more in the warm months. One day.
Lasered, unlike Californistan in MI you have to double the speed limit for reckless. That would be 140 on a freeway.

And it is VERY easy to hit triple digits in these cars...just getting on the freeway you can easily do it.

I doubt that, I can say I have gone 6000 MPH on the highway, no way to prove it. Pretty easy to disprove that but you get my point.

I was a LEO in Cali for 30 years, retired now. Just going 20 or 30 MPH over is not automatically reckless driving. It depends on many more factors. Residential?, pedestrians?, time of day?, traffic?, etc.
Going over 100 MPH is a misdemeanor, and you can be arrested.

True, I was being very general with my statements. But, like you said, there is a possibility for a reckless charge at those speeds.

I just could have sworn I heard of happening to someone. Something like admission of guilt. I do live in RI after all. Lol. This is the state where recently a guy got a ticket for going the speed limit. Started a state wide SH$& storm.

I used to have a picture like this doing work on a Z06 Corvette (closed course). The speedo was at 185. I wish I kept that picture
Well done though. I'm assuming this is at a track
Did you ave to get the speed limiter removed?

I am thankful I'm in Germany and can hit triple digits when I want. It's tough keeping up with all the European station wagons on the autobahn. Most of them cruise at 100 when it's an unrestricted section. Then it's those Audi A8's and S classes that are an your tail. I don't move out of the way but more often than not I downshift into 5th and punch it. They usually give me the thumbs up when I do slow down.

I will say this: if you have wide front competition tires, there is a speed above which the front end will start to walk all over the highway and you end up sweating your *** off just trying to keep it straight. That speed (and above) also turns a smooth, flat Texas highway into a roller coaster ride. It would shock you, the number of bumps that are actually in the road that, at 80 or even 90 mph, are imperceptible.

I hit tripple digits here in Canada, all day, everyday
