I've been noticing something on the 13-14 base model GT's.....are they supposed to have black or silver steering wheel spokes ?

My base 2014 GT has silver, but 2 others I've seen recently had black ? Just thought it was odd.

 

Are you sure they weren't painted or covered? The only black spoke steering wheel I've seen was because the guy wrapped them in 3M di-noc.

 

I've wondered the same thing. I have seen some where the spokes match the color of the center console and stack trim.

 

`11-12 base model GT's have black steering wheels.
`13-14 base GT's got an upgraded wheel.

 

My base model 2014 GT has the silver spokes on it.

My '11 GT was a base model with the black steering wheel. '13 saw the addition of more controls needed on the steering, so a nicer wheel (with silver spokes) was the result.

I found a pic of one with the charcoal colored spokes instead of the usual silver. May just be the light.
