Barret-Jackson Sat Jan 22 Question
I was watching the B-J auction when the WD40 car comes up for auction. As the announcer (Mike Joy I think) is talking about all the nifty things on the car he mentions that ford has a 2011 5.0 out on display "turned on its side" so you can see all the underside of the car. When he gets to the exhaust he mentions some washers you can remove to allow more sound out before the rear wheels. Has this been discussed before or is it something new ? That might explain the lil washers shipped with the GT500 mufflers some of us have purchased. I will have to wait till its is at least above 15 Deg F outside before I put the car up to look around under there. Anyone else notice these supposed washers ? If not thanks for reading and have a nice day
Thanks
Thanks
Ya i thought that was what he was talking about but he says All 5.0's have a washer (or washer stack) you can take out to adjust the sound level and i went ... "Huh ??" if so then its just another lil easter egg ford put in without telling anyone
LOL
LOL
confused about a lot of things, has anyone else caught how he has to add that the Boss 429, Mach 1 and others are fastbacks when it`s obvious that it is and came no other way ?
dang i was hoping he was right .. either way there were some awesome Mustang p*** thru the block
and I was very happy the they got $450K for the grabber blue 2012 Boss 302
that was neat..

The BOSS 302's come with a "quad exhaust". Normal rear outlets plus new side outlets that exit just in front of the rear wheels. This was added so the driver/passenger could hear more exhaust rumble. However, in order to pass vehicle inspection in states that have noise restriction, a spacer was added to the side outlets that would restrict flow and volume. These spacers (about 1/2 inch thick) are easily removable once you get the car home. Then you have full unrestricted race car sound that's unlike anything on the road. This might be the coolest thing FORD has done in years.

$450k for serial #1,,, 1 of 1,,, only grabber blue EVER to be produced. I'm sure the dealerships won't price gouge based on that. They'll sell it at MSRP if you ask nicely and bring then some homemade cookies.
Well i think they said only one ever produced THIS model year i am sure they will sell a bunch of them in 2013 ... or maybe not but it was fun to watch and i like the GB and that roof dont recall if it was paint or glass but i am guessing black paint
MSRP my butt! My brother just put a deposit on a LS out of a store in Dallas. They still don't know MSRP, but they know they will be getting 5K over. At this time they also won't do a drop ship.
