i reset it after the oil change and car was parked for the winter and once the weather started changing i had it running and noticed the oil life was that low so i checked the oil level and it was fine still clear as clear could be so i just reset the oil life button again, maybe i should have used the obd2 next time i just used the reset built into the dash i did get a kick out of the guy changing the oil though trying to carry 9 liters of oil,my comment was where are you putting all that and he said i guess you have an oil cooler as that it what is calls for

I think that explains it -- I think it will tell you to change the oil every six months, whether it needs it or not . . . I have noticed this with my car; I change the oil when I put it away in the fall, and it says it needs an oil change in the spring, even if I've only driven a few hundred miles in between

funny how it can tell you it's time to change the oil and it's not connected to an internet connection, i just upgraded my sync 3.0 to 4.6 so maybe it had a fix for that..
