It looks like the market average on the new '12 GT Premium is around $30400.

TrueCar changed their site and are much less useful than before without signing up.

You can probably get into a "no-option" '12 GT Premium for under $30k right now...

I would definitely go with a new 5.0. I purchased a 2012 GT premium for 28k last month (a day before the mustang's birthday without me realizing it). I did consider a 2013 V6 but the deal for the 2012 was too good to pass up. And I dont really like how the new front end looks. But i have to admit the new tail lights are sweet.

Yeah, saw prices from just a little below 26k and up for 12 GT's on Autotrader...and who knows...if you are really good at bargaining you might get even more off.

Appreciate all the feedback guys! I def have to see where I can find this and decide what I want. I really have to try and stick to my monthly budget. Also have to try and see where I can get out of my current lease. Any reviews on Swapalease.com?

If you use that TrueCar site I linked above and do all of the signing up business, you can find a few dealers that will guarantee a price in your area, as long as they have the car that you are looking for. It has worked well for me a couple of times.

You should find a dealer and first talk to them about your lease. At least in my experience, sometimes they will buy out your lease for you, depending on how much time you have left on it and how easy they can sell your car.

I have looked into having someone take over the lease on my 2011 Explorer. Apparently, people do that often, but I don't know much about the websites for them. Just Google for reviews of the sites.

Find a good deal on a GT at a dealer tell them your budget, let them work for you your going to have to play hard ball, tell them THAT is the car you want. If they say it's a no go then at Least you tried and go for the v6

The 5.0 V8 is the only way to go. You will always want the V8 if you go with the 6. This motor is amazing.
^ this or you do a base '13 GT from a lot of dealers under $30k. my premium auto was 33.9k, and sorry i wasted the extra 3,500 on the premium too.. also 4.6 to 3.7 isn't a lateral move, you won't be happy.

The reason for the extra horsepower I'm guessing is the redesign of the pistons in the '13....

Not to mention the split fold rear seats (I can't believe my '11 doesn't have that), lighted vanity mirrors stock, universal garage door opener stock, 4.2" screen with track apps and other little extras that were options on the '11/'12 models. I'm speaking Premium's, of course.

The '11 doesn't have split back seats? '10 does (V6 prem).

Maybe I just haven't figured them out, but I've looked in the manual even for the release mechanism and can't seem to get them to fold down. They are split, but don't seem to fold down in my '11 GT Premium.

There are nylon pull tabs on the upper side of each split.

Flag on the play... I found a link online to the latest manual and found it finally. Man, I feel like a moron right now. I was looking for a release button or something to fold the seats and didn't expect it to be a pull cord. Both of them were hidden behind the seat belts and obstructed from view. Ugh.

Now, can anyone tell me how my seats don't remember the correct upright position there were in like my 2004 Mach 1 did when someone in the back seat gets out? MAN that is annoying.

Dumb question but anyone know if you can custom build an order for lease or is it finance only?

I would think you could ask the dealer if they could order one to your specs and ask them if they would agree to lease it. Doesn't hurt to ask, all the could say is no.

FYI dealer said they can order a custom build for lease. It seems leasing might be less per month than financing... I just wish I could find a good dealer. Where I went seemed like the guy was a robot and didn't even want to seem to be there lol. I don't think I was getting accurate info from him...

Can anyone recommend or know of any good dealers in or around Central NJ? The 2013 V6 I built on Ford.com is estimated at $30,335, however I have access to A and X plan so it comes out to a couple grand less. The salesman told me that A might not work because it's limited to immediate family members but he would try. However I am hearing that people are finding '12 GT premium's for the same price! If I can get a GT for around the same monthly payment I have in mind, obviously that'd be the better deal. I know when I'm in the 6 I'm going to want that 5.0.
