axle-back exhaust
I recently purchased 2010 gt premium. Looking for advice on which axle-back exhaust to buy. Looking for a deep sound without spending a lot of money. I've narrowed it down to mac and American thunder.

You would be disappointed with the American thunder on the 4.6 cause they are weak. Mac is good but the frpp sport exhaust is one of the best sounds on the 4.6. I was most happy with the pypes mid mufflers on the 4.6.
I just put Roush Axel backs on my car yesterday. It sounds awesome an there is no droning in the cabin. I spoke to my local shop and they sell Flowmaster (Would have been $260 installed). He was honest and said that in his opinion the lower end exhaust systems were going to make a lot more noise in the cabin.
Yea flowmaster makes some good exhaust but I remember when I started my car after installing the American thunder system. I literally got out of the car to make sure the right exhaust was on because the sound was so close to stock. Very disappointing.
Is there any advantages to change entire exhaust vs ab. I still have a lot to learn just trying to spend my money wisely. Any input would be appreciated

Depending on which system you go with, the catback will give you minor performance gains over an axle back but a little more tone or volume.
Longtube headers will obviously give you more performance and a more open sound. I had Mac Longtubes with a catted pro chamber and pypes mid muffler and that was my experience lol
