With the super low 1st gear in the auto tranny there is no need to go with a lower gear in the rear.

The thing to think about for better performance is higher stall converter. As soon as someone comes out with one for the new Mustang auto tranny...

If you do plan to go with aftermarket gears, I would probably go with the 3.53s over the 3.73s. 3.73s could be overkill with the newer auto. I would wait to see what a tune could do before changing the gears though. That's what I was planning on doing for my auto. 1st gear is pretty steep but I could see it benefiting 2nd and 3rd more.

I think the 3.15's are plenty. It pulls good all the way to 120 , thats the fastest I've had it yet. 1st is plenty steep, even with traction control fully on it wants to break loose.
