I JUST noticed the seats on that car. They appear to be black with Saddle inserts and 401A style black stripes down the center, JUST like I said I wanted it. Now maybe the black/inserts wasn't what I had in mind, but it looks good and it looks like it also has saddle colored stitching. Hmm, maybe a 2008-2009 GT/CS style "CS appearance package"? I was just going through my old magazines and brochures while cleaning out some stuff today, and the GT/CS used to be available with 2-tone seats, either black/gray or black/dove. Could be coming back? This car does have the CS front...

Hmm ok I looked again and the stripes are red. Still different though. And it looks like Lincoln style piping on the seats/headrests...

Black Jade, Dark Highland...any of these dark greens! I long for a dark green Mustang, but don't want to buy an older Bullitt with the 2011 out. Those who want the lime just ask for another grabber color I don't want.

Sorry grabber guru's, just nothing "grabs" me about it. Certainly doesn't make me grab my wallet either. I can repect it, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

A couple of greens they should consider bringing back though:

Deep Jewel Green form the early 90's
Dark Evergreen from 94...looks great on convertibles with a saddle interior and top.

Cayman Green

Weird ivy green form the 70 boss 302

Check out my 99 Black Green vert that I used to own.

What a great way to introduce myself to the forum. I was another dark green satin owner way back when. We are a small club, this very unappreciated color was only offered in 98 & 99. Here's my old '98 GT convertible back in the day:

I am a HUGE fan of dark green but the manufacturers have really left us out in the cold the last few years. I've read the the buying public tends to shift between green and blue every few years but the two colors are never popular at the same time. The 90s was a great time for green but the preference has definitely been for blue for about a decade now.

My disgust with the 2V 4.6L drove me to the Chevy camp and I have been a happy LS1 Camaro owner for about 9 years. Initially there was no bigger fan of the new Camaro than me but the exterior styling is already looking dated and cartoonish to me. After getting to drive a 2010 Mustang premium V6 convertible the other day I was stunned at the difference in interior quality, not to mention the visibility issues with the Camaro considering the beltline comes up to your neck. With the engine and chassis improvements the Mustang clearly offers the better driving experience and I am looking forward to returning to the fold, probably next year with a 2012 model. I can only hope this new color is offered as I can't think of a better way to do it than with another dark green/saddle car like my old '98. Looking forward to seeing this color in person and my fingers are crossed that it will be offered on the Mustang. It will surely be a low volume color, a great way to stand out a little from the rest.

Two weeks ago I got my 02 GT painted Atlantis Green, and I love it. I couldn't figure out how to get pictures here, so I created a blog posting. Let me know if you have questions about the process, Maaco, or anything else. I think anyone who chooses this color will be very happy. I've gotten a lot of compliments, and I didn't get too many with the previous color.

Very nice! I can't believe that's a Maaco paint job.

That '02 looks great, plus those are about the best pics of this color I've seen. Obviously it is a pretty hard color to photograph well.
