Question Anything I need to do at 70k?

My 2010 GT Vert just turned over 70k on the clock. I do mostly highway driving. Anything I need to be doing at this milage? I always do the oil change and tire roations at 4-5k miles.

I think it depends on how closely youve been following the maintenance schedule to this point.

Not to be "that guy" but go check your owner's manual!

The car looks fantastic. I love that hood!

According to the manual everything is up to date. I keep up on the maintenance and the car is driving great. I having to do the suspension in the next month or two. A 1" drop should do nicely!

It is not in the manual but I figured the spark plugs would be due. I guess that is not true.

That's awesome.

My favorite Mustangs aren't just the ones at the shows. I always appreciate seeing well kept examples around town, parked, driving.. etc. I especially love the 2-10 yr old cars still rolling, they're still good.

The plugs are supposedly good for 100K miles. Personally, I'm not worrying about changing them until my mileage starts dropping or the car doesn't run like it should. I'm at 78K and they're still perfect, far as I can tell.

Not sure if you've had them done yet, but I would consider:
  • Hoses+Thermostat
  • Belt
  • Coolant Flush
  • Transmission Fluid
  • Brake Fluid
  • Rear Axle Fluid (may be overkill but another to consider)

Next oil change I am going to do a coolant flush. The Axel was rebuilt about 10k miles ago. The hoses and belt I will have inspected when I do the coolant.

another thing to consider is a new cabin filter...
I changed mine today after the car only has 16K miles, but the filter was DIRTY (but then I don't have a convertible).

I replaced my CAF a month ago

On that note my front braked started to chirp this week. I took a look and front brakes are in order! I am going to do a cross drilled kit from AM and then the suspension with a 1" drop next.

At the next oil change I will get the coolant flushed and look at the belts, maybe even the hoses. That should get me to at least 100k miles.

Yep, those things are filthy after 15-20K.
