My 12 GT came with the calipers and portion of the rotors painted silver. I thought they were painted from the factory?

 

I don't think that's paint, but rather the cast color of the part. After 6 months of ownership, mine are starting to show the dingy/rusty color.

Me thinks I'll be pulling rims off this weekend and painting the rotor "hats"...besides, my tires need rotation.

 

I just replaced wheels & tires again, this time with all black wheels. The center hub of the rotor looked like crap in silver & the painted calipers where looking pretty bad so I painted the center of the rotor black & repainted the calipers in red again with the brush-on caliper paint. Looks much better now.
