Anyone NOT having trouble with their 2011 clutches?
Close to 8000, had it nearly six months, no issues but it does have the weird modified pedal assembly. Most of it is city driving so I do a lot of shifting, and I love the feeling of shifting up at redline.
Smooth as silk!
Clutch
All I read on the Mustang forums is about people having trouble with their clutches on their 2011s.. Is there anyone who has not had any problems? If so, how many miles do you have, and how hard do you drive the car?
Is this really that serious a problem? I wanted to buy a 2011, but I'm starting to have some doubts..
Thanks!

12k+ miles and zero issues. I think the whole deal has been blown way or of proportion. That being said, if I was experiencing an issue, I'd probably think that not enough attention was being paid to it.
Nice to see so many without problems. Sometimes that's just refreshing...
I'm not even worried about this problem anymore.
5,800 miles, smooth sailing. Fast (but not "abusively hard")
1-2 and 2-3 shifts on a regular basis...MT-82 keeps coming back for more.

3000 mi, aggressive but no burnout starts and shifts, seldom power shift.
The engagement point is a moving target... some days it's easy to nail shift after shift, other times it seems to have a mind of its own as to where it engages...
Shifting is as others noted - notchy, gravelly, cantankerous, unpredictable - I have named my tranny "Forrest Gump" - you never know what you're gonna get...

really? what makes you think that? the bolts backed out. no shearing.
it has nothing to do with they way i operate the clutch. a clutch in a high performance car should handle neutral drops with stock tires for 90,000 miles.
the wear surfaces should wear out before mounting bolts back out.
ive never had a clutch bolt loosen in 25 years building cars. i raced those cars with slicks and had as much power as this car has.

Assasinator is right the clutch pressure plate blots should never come lose . This is a Epic Fail on ford part and there should have been a recall. This lets wait and see what happens that ford is doing now is BS .
