Anyone know how you disable the rear sonar sensors?

I have a 2012 mustang and 1 of the rear sonar sensors don't work because of a minor rear end collision. Whenever I shift into reverse it says "check rear sensor", and the message would stay there till I reset it. I have to reset it every time I'm done reversing and it's annoying. When they were working before the collision it would let me choose "on" or "off", but now that 1 is damaged it's not letting me choose. Any easy way to disable them?

Put a piece of electrical tape over the warning light until you get it fixed.

Alright so I was able to go into "Set up" and choose "off" in the reverse sensing option. However, once I turn off the ignition and turn it on again, the reverse sensing system comes on again and the message again displays "check park aid".

again, to go back to the point of this all.. is there a reason that you can't take your car in and utilize that warranty?

I thought he is trying to avoid a repair because the collision damaged the rear fascia. Warranty would not cover that.

Hi Will3212,

I'm glad to know you’re OK! It looks like everyone has recommended that you visit your dealer; they are correct. Your vehicle will definitely have to be inspected and diagnosed by your Ford dealer. I can escalate this for you if needed. For me to do this, please PM me your VIN, mileage, dealer, full name, and best contact number.
