Anyone here using AMSOIL?
Hey guys,
I used AMSOIL Signature Series 0W-30 100% Synthetic Motor Oil in my last car ('09 Lancer GTS) and really liked it over the OEM oil. I am wondering if anyone is using it or another AMSOIL oil in their '11 Stang.
If so which model filter are you using? I bought another 5 QT's for my last car right before I traded it in for the Stang so I'd like to put it in this car soon but need to find out what model AMSOIL filter I need.

I don't use this oil but i know they usually suggest to use Wix oil filters if they don't make one for your car.
I had to buy my oil filter from the dealer for my 2011 Mustang. None of the local parts stores had any yet.

I had it in Ride, people swore by it. But it messed up the shifting of the transmission. Ever since I had the oil changed at the Honda place with their oil, Ride shifts SO much better. So I won't be going back to it.
But that's a motorcycle with a wet clutch, which obviously doesn't like the Amsoil. I dunno about a car, but I hear it's pretty good stuff, and those who do continue to run it in their motorcycles won't run anything else.

I've been using AMSOIL for about 65K miles or so, it's the cats meow. My dad was a truck driver and ran AMSOIL or Rotella exclusively, so I was pretty happy when I found a buddy of mine who's a "dealer". I also use the 0W-30, and use the EAO11 filter (2005 Mustang, more than likely different for a 2011 V6). Oil is listed as good for 35K miles and filter for 25K, I change both at 15K. It comes out fairly dark, but nowhere near as dark as dino oil at 3K miles, pretty crazy. I run a magnet through the oil every time and have found nothing so far (knock wood).
According to their lookup, nothing is made for your car yet, or more likely, hasn't been fully tested.
