Anyone else find it annoying to shift with a cup in the holder?

Oh ya super annoying! Like everyone else it holds my iPhone 4, Chapstick and clips for my hair when the windows are down my Starbucks or whatever drinks I have is resting between me and my door lol

Yep, I try to avoid driving with cups etc in there whenever possible

Wow I thought I was the only one who thought that the cup holder was a pain in the a$$. I have tossed plenty of bottles of water into the front or back seat in frustration because I felt like Stretch Armstrong trying to shift. I LOVE!!!! I repeat LOVE my car, but that cup holder placement is like Kanye West interrupting me in the middle of sex. Lol

I use the cup holders and not the shifter! Haha... I have a long way to work so I need a drink to keep me awake. Sure I wouldn't have a cup during a track experience, but it isn't that bad. I thought the most annoying part was the liner that sticks to the bottom of the cup when I pick it up! Passengers that get scared under hard acceleration are just as annoying as the cupholder!!

I took the rubber liner out of my cup-holder. Crappy design. I like to get coffee from CircleK almost every morning, so in a manual transmission the cup-holder problem is annoying. I am also disappointed in the spill switch next to the brake pedal. I can hardly make it home without spilling coffee.

I agree. after owning my mustang for about 1.5 months I have found there are few things I don't really like, however, it is nothing that would stop me loving my car. the things I don't really like are:
-the cupholders (I use them rarely and if so, only the rear one)
-the fact that there is not enough storage space for CD's and other stuff
-how sync does not understand my swiss accent when I try to call my friends :P

I feel ya on the Sync not recognizing a Swiss accent... I know someone from Michigan who has a problem with it... And I also know someone from South Carolina who also has a problem with it...
