Im wondering If anyone has experience and can give me a round about idea of what I'm looking at price wise for this work. Dont wanna get my hopes up and go into a shop and get slapped in the face with a huge estimate lol....

I have a GTCS and the pedestal spoiler has 8 holes. If I switch to a GT500, 4 of these holes will be exposed. So...

-I'd need the 4 holes filled and I'd assume the entire (all 2 feet of it) trunk would need repainting.

-Plus let's say the spoiler needs to be painted. (already painted another color)

-2 Roush louvers painted

This would all be done in black. Any ideas??? Thanks!

are the holes literally exposed (not covered by the spoiler)? or are they just not used?

it's a bit of work to fill in holes b/c now you have to weld on top of all the other prep work. you may want to consider getting a used trunk lid from fleabay or someplace. then you just have to worry about the spoiler and louvers being painted, which would be cheaper.

I also think you would be able to switch trunk lids with someone locally who has the GT spoiler and wants the GT/CS

Supposedly the holes will be exposed. I haven't found a trunk or anyone wanting to trade. I wish I did. I don't mind the work just have a feeling it's gonna be like 1000+ and I'm not paying that lol

You are probably not too far off on that guess-timate. Body shops use a crash guide that lists labor-hours for refinishing every part on just about every vehicle. The tech then "flags" that number of hours for doing the work. A spoiler may book at 3 hours whether it takes the tech 30 minutes or 6 hours to do it. Properly repairing the holes will likely be considered custom work, not covered by the guide. You'd definately save some cash and hassle if you got a spare decklid with the matching holes, particularly in the same color.

I see your doing your homework on checking for this information. I can't see it being such a huge cost.. On my 2006 I had the total front fascia painted (plus fender blend), Ratchet Shifter Installed, Sequential lights installed, all lights painted tint, plus was fully detailed for delivery all this from whom I told you about and he did it for $1200.00

O what's up man, I didn't know you were on here too lol.

Yeah I think I posted here first and then remembered to ask locally for recommendations. I just didn't wanna be blind sided with a reality check on the price so figured I'd ask for some guesstimates or maybe someone who does it
For a living.

Thanks for the advice. Gonna swing by there tomorrow of the weather holds up
