First one I test drove was a 2010 vert magnaflow 3 inch, tru x pipe, c&l CAI and Baka tune. It drove amazing had great sound didn't notice too much drone. I test drove a 2011 coupe after and the vert almost got me. I have the same exhaust on the 2010 coupe I ended up buying and there is a little drone but easy to modulate. Magnaflow 16572 cat back the rest of the setup on that vert is in process in my coupe.

Nope no drone so far at any RPM speed.

WAY better than stock. Stock was just too refined for a Mustang IMHO.
But I'm on the fence still about it - 70% of the time I love it, yet 30% of the time I think it's a bit too loud for my 40 year old ears.
Whenever I have women in the car - they either like it or think it's too loud (depends on the woman).
Whenever I have guys in the car - nobody thinks it's too loud, so maybe its just me.

I put the Borla S-Type on my 11 last year. There's no drone and I quite like the sound. I was concerned that my wife would find it too loud, but she's great with it. Another female passenger said she found it "calming". That's something I never thought I'd hear about it.

good to know, thanks guys, I was worried that the vert would have more drone then the coupe...and that kind of steered me away from even thinking about an exhaust!

I remember in my buddies s2k, when he had an exhaust is was annoying as hell because of the drone with the top up...to the point that he took it off

I'll be putting Borla's #11790 or #11789 when I do finally get a car to put them on, of course, it will come oh yes it will. People started to get their 2012 so my black GT/CS vert can't be that far away...

Somebody knows if the Borla model numbers will change for the 2012?

FRPP SVT/GT500 axle backs on my 'vert and love it. Interestingly it doesn't seem to be THAT much louder with the top totally down versus just the windows open but top up.

One of the reasons I got the 'vert was for the extra exhaust music when the top is down.
