I am at 41 Front and 40 rear right now on the Mustang, at 35 the car felt like a boat in corners and the front looked low. Ran my Stock Perellis at 32 to 35 and the outsides of the tires were starting to show wear and cupping at less than 20000 miles. Ran the pressure up and replaced them at 36000 miles
The sidewall lists max pressure. Why would you run at max pressure?

Don't y'all watch MythBusters? They tested just this. Drive the car on 20, 35, & 55 PSI. Weighed the small gas tank they hooked up to do the test. Weighed & fig'd # after each run. @ 20, used 34% more fuel. @ 35, used I forgot that was thR control. @ 55, used 27% less fuel. Then said how the Ray LaHood agency said to run car's @ normal PSI. Ooh, they then figured out what you'd save. Like $5/year? I stick to 35 in mine.

& I rem the show kinda, I totally made up all those #'s!! Do know you spend more under-inflated & less more inflated. Can be way unsafe, though!!

I can't rem the agency, but can who's over it!! How messed up is that?
