Any chance of a 2010 NA 5.4 Mach1?

What a nice way to close the gap between GT and GT500. If Henry gives us a '10 NA 5.4 Mach1, it WILL be in my driveway!

how about just a 302 boss or a new kind of boss 331 boss to close the gap

Because you'll need a 5.0L to get a Boss 302, and we know that isn't coming out in '10. A Boss 331...WTF?

lmao its the size of a 5.4 in cubic im just saying and you saying what if so ya and if their was a chance of 2010 coming with a special editon actually with a 5.0 it would be a 302 boss

There WAS a rumour a while back that Ford was testing the 5.4 NA 4v in the Mustang for an 08-09 BOSS to carry over till the actual boss engine was being readied. (around 400hp)

That rumour kinda just fizzled out a while ago, and we haven't heard of anything since.

I'm gonna guess that probably not.
No use in getting all that jazzed up for 1 year, when the 5.0 will come out less than a year after, and put it to shame.

I know there has been some very credible rumours (although this was a while back), but we don't REALLY know that we are getting the 5.0 for sure at all. It kinda seems to me like we may have taken a very tempting rumour and just run with it until we assume it's fact.

There hasn't actually been any hard proof or confirmation regarding the new 5.0 at all, and it's been months since word originally started to spread about it. I know Ford would be keeping a very tight lip on it for obvious reasons, but I have been having some doubts recently about a 400hp 5.0 GT in 2011.

A 400hp GT would be a HUGE jump, and wouldn't leave much room for a SE between the GT and GT500.

I know this subject has been thoroughly kicked about by now, but my point is, you think we would have more confirmation by now than a few very brief and general postings in a forum.

Just letting my skepticism get the better of me.

You would think it would, yes. However on the other hand, we all know that plans are always subject to change. So I suppose will just have to wait and see what develops.

From my understanding, the Bullitt was the only new SE for the 2009MY. But then again, Ford extended the production run. In order to sell off the remaining 700 units, that carried over from 2008MY !

Ah, I see. I didn't realize they were considering the Bullitt a new SE. I wonder if there was another SE in the works that got bumped from 2009. As I understand it, the Bullitt was only pushed into the 2009 MY when they determined that not all 7700 would be sold in the 2008 MY. Or did they plan all along to sell the balance in the 2009 MY?

They didn't consider the Bullitt as a new SE. It's just as you said, they only pushed it into the 2009MY when it was determined that not all 7700 units would be sold during 2008MY.

Now whether Ford intentionally planned to sell the remaining 700 units in 2009MY, is anybody's guess.

As for a new SE model that got bumped from 2009MY, I honestly do not know if there was one in the works or not.

id assume well see both boss and mach se's as the execs at ford have said in many interviews that they know thats what the consumer wants...

Let's hope! If I were to guess, I would think it is more likely to one, but not both Mach1 & Boss.

If for some reason Henry did give us both Mach1 & Boss, which do you guys think would be the top dog?

neither are top dog, Boss should be designed forr ahndling and road racing, Mach should be for drag duty.
