Thanks, but the entire repair is being covered by the other driver's insurance and brand new Ford parts are being used. I verified that.

A check is in route to the body shop so work can begin.

So now it's the end of next week. They found another $3300 worth. It's up to almost $10,000. Jeez. On a happier note, they installed my axleback for free.

No, I have no out of pocket expense. I received the deductible reimbursement check today and I haven't even paid it. I had zero fault. The other driver had a cheap policy, so their insurance is only paying $5000. My company is going after her personally for the balance.

That's exactly what I was thinking. That's a pretty penny indeed. 10K?

Are you sure they are going after personally or is your insurance company going after her insurance company, which in turn makes her rates go SKY HIGH. She may even get dropped from her current insurance company and have to deal with high rates wherever else she insures the car.

I spoke to both insurance companies. My company is recouping what they can from hers, and then they are hitting her up for the balance. On top of that, I really don't think her car is fixable, and based on her policy, I doubt she is covered for that as well. She's screwed. All from trying to make an illegal left turn. She could have just left via the exit driveway and made a left at the traffic light.

What happens if she doesn't have the money to cover that 3k?
(Not being facetious here, just curious.)

Not sure if they would accept payments. They could sue, I guess. My company said their could have her wages garnished.

No, she most definitely is not. Thanks. Really hoping it's going to be next week.

Funny note: I heard she said my car had no damage because I was able to drive away.

Thanks. I'm sure I will. It's a great shop. She will have new exhaust and be detailed before they give her back to me.

Sounds like it will be for the best for everyone to keep her off the road for a while if she can't drive and has **** poor insurance.

My head is going to explode. My car is finished except for the driver's seat cover which is on backorder with no ETA.
