Another Camaro5 thread....LMFAO!!
I really like this smackdown on people saying it will be a "drivers' race", as delivered by one of their own.
I can't see how a 12.5-12.7 car is a driver's race with a 12.9-13.1 car. but then again EVERYTHING is a drivers race, even me vs a funny car, if they blow up I WIN that was a drivers race wasn't it?
The term "driver's race" is so broad you can basically use it for anything it's like the cable guy saying he we be at your house between 8am and 10pm.

Maro VS Stang...
Both racing side by side...

both slam onthe breaks. at the same time to aviod the end of the road ..
the stang.. stops..
the maro.. keeps going off the cliff..
Camaro Wins off a cliff...
BUT it was a "drivers" race ..

For what its worth, I don't think C5 speaks for the whole Camaro community. I just think that site tends to attract more a-holish types. I definitely do not want to be associated with that type of community but C5 is not the only forum out there.
Side note, I've pretty impressed by the Challenger guys. They seem to be a lot more chill about things.

some of them certainly twist information to be highly speculative
how about the article on the Homepage regarding the "in the 13s V6 with an effectively stock car"
certainly ~$1800 worth of exhaust and induction (not including labor) to me is not effectively "stock"
http://www.camaro5.com/ scroll down to second article
in the thread they talk similarly of how nobody or very few will opt for a 3.31 geared V6 Mustang just like they think few will opt for a 3.73 geared GT

Sadly the Camaro community has really started to take on the "D-bag" car reputation. There are asses in every camp, but generally you find alot of the Challenger owners willing to be polite.
my personal favorite
(notice how he qualifies his complaint)
@ Chevy guys
friends don't let friends drive GM

I love my SS, that said clearly the 5.0 is underrated and is putting out far more than the 412hp Ford states. So it will win most comparos due to being lighter and more powerful ...

I can't remember when I read it (it was a while ago), but there was one great comment from a poster who said:
and I'm from North Carolina, where a Camaro wrapped around a telephone pole is the State Tree.
if you are a camaro owner on that forum and you say "i really don't like the way my camaro..."
they will say TROLL!!! post a picture with your license and vin or you don't own a camaro and you're trolling!
LAMAMAOAALALSMALMAO!!
That reminds me of when I was in high school and outside the parking lot someone had impressively managed to drive up a support cable on a telephone pole. Nose of the car pointed almost straight up into the air. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, I'm pretty sure it was Camaro.
arent the guy who made that 'welcome to the world of a challenger owner' in one of those threads on camaro5?? lol just asking.
