That's great for you but as I was saying my experience wasn't as great. I did receive damaged items but am was very helpful in replacing the items, but they kept arriving damaged so they refunded me. Once again in my experience great customer service just bad shipping.

I've made a number of purchases from AM and- even on the ones that had minor glitches- I've always ended up completely satisfied.

The only "damaged in shipping" part I've ever gotten involved a bent tip on a GT500 muffler (but the packaging was done by Ford Racing, not by AM- so not their fault). I fixed the tip myself well enough that I'm probably the only person who notices it (wasn't worth the trouble of doing an exchange).

That said, I never even knew HyperMotive existed... Nice to have another product list to look through (maybe they carry some vendors AM doesn't). Is there a discount code for HyperMotive as well?

Especially when Jay said in Post #6 that he sent Sterling a PM when Sterling was trying to find out about a Discount Code from AM. sorry.

If you have any issues, feel free to PM me with your concerns. Not many individuals know we offer a discount code as well, actually, many different discount codes. Being a shop owned by active duty service members we strive on operating in a great business environment and offering the best customer service possible. You can ask anyone in this forum who has purchased from us whether they were pleased or disappointed and I can assure you 100% of them will say they were and are happy.

We had no intentions on stepping on other business' "toes". So if you feel that way, I apologize.

Just shot you a PM! What mods do you have planned for your Mustang?

Enjoy the discount! Let us know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future. We appreciate your business and loyalty!

I recently ordered some headlight covers for my car and that box arrived half opened which makes me want to order my roush splitter from elsewhere because I'm afraid it might be damaged when it gets to me.
I'm very pleased to hear that you've always had a great customer service experience with us and always have been satisfied. However, it upsets me that you've had some issues with packages arriving in perfect condition and that has made you look elsewhere at times.

I can assure you that when your package leaves our facility the box is in perfect shape. It's no hidden secret that most carriers don't handle packages with care. However, we have had great success with UPS at this time. It's obviously that somethings is happening on your orders that I would like to figure out. Can you please shoot me a PM with a recent order number of yours so I can look into the history and attempt to figure out what's going on here?

Also, on your next purchase please email me directly and I'll make sure that your package is 100% perfect before it leaves our facility. & that there is a little extra packing on the package to avoid any damage.

I hope this helps and I look forward to speaking with you.

You can reach me directly at - dan[dot]bailer[at]americanmuscle[dot]com

I am not saying you don't have a good product or that members are not satisfied with your products. I just do not feel that it was good practice to jump in on a thread and take away a customer who had the intention of buying from American Muscle and was looking for a Product Discount Code from them. IMO you intentionally step on American Muscles toes and you know it. Go back and read SterlinggrayGt question then read yours Post #6 you clearly owe SterlingGrayGT and American Muscle an Apology not me. That is not good business practice sorry.

Is it really stepping on toes, or just providing an alternative? OP made it clear that he wanted to place an order ASAP, and Jay used the opportunity to say "Hey, we offer discounts on our stuff too."

If the OP decides to order from Jay, it is more than likely due to the fact that he heard from them faster. I wouldn't call it bad business, just business. And I say that from someone who has ordered from American Muscle, having never placed an order through Hypermotive.

^^^^Well said. I don't think it is bad business either. I didn't know that jay offered discounts either, so after using American Muscle for 2 years I am willing to give anyone else a try, especially if there is price matching involved.

All the vendors on here do it. Whether it's someone asking about a product that A.M. has and someone like Steeda steps in to offer up there product or someone asking about suspension mods and all the vendors bombing the thread trying to promote there stuff. It happens everyday across all the forums. While sometimes annoying its business and I can't quite blame them.

This isn't an AM vendor forum, it's the general '10-14 forum. Who cares what business comes in here and promotes their stuff in a thread that is asking about it? If the OP wanted to talk just to AM, they should of sent a PM or email.

That is what is so great about these threads. Everyone can have a opinion whether it be right or wrong. If you go back a read Post # 1 it is directed to AM and no other vendor. I'm sorry but IMO this is stepping on another vendors toes. again it was Sunday and no one ships on Sunday, StrelingGrayGT still had to wait until Monday morning anyway, and Jay should have given AM a opportunity to reply not jump on the band wagon. So end of Story for me. It was wrong

Ok then... so here's my "opinion".

I see no issue.

Actually, I'm surprised they got back to him with a discount code after only a day or so. Usually, they don't ever respond, or if they do, it takes a week. So, from my experience with them, this is a step in the right direction.

In the end, it's the OP's choice for where he should buy. An informed customer is powerful. If anything, vendor in question was too slow to respond... lol. As usual.

Question for you: If you were intent on buying a part, let's say a Roush blower, and it costs $7k at a certain vendor, and you started a thread asking for a miniscule discount code, you'd feel offended if someone replied, "Hey, why are you getting it from this vendor and pay 7k when you can get it from THIS vendor and pay $6k?". (this happens all the time... vendors post advertised prices hundreds/thousands more for consumers dumb enough to pay them. Smart consumers "shop"... get the best deal coupled with the best customer service. And Hypermotive/Jay is one of many.)

pssssh...

Well, last time I checked, this forum isn't American Muscles Forum, nor was it a specific AM Sponsor forum. This is an open forum dedicated to 2010-14 Mustangs, OP was inquiring on a discount code, at which point Jay quickly responded and provided an alternative, in which the OP must have liked, as he went with that option. This isn't about stepping on toes or anything else; OP could have sent AM an email, PM, etc, but he posted on this forum, where Jay is also a "Premier Authorized Advertiser". OP was wanting to place his order on Sunday, and AM didn't post until Monday morning. The forums are open game, and that is where the sale was lost.
